Last night @ CellspaceMarch 27th, 2010

So its been done is being done and is done well…The warehouse is clean, each angle seems intentional, the red curtain drapes the length of the side wall, the little bridge is curved and black connecting lofts, their are many excellent things in the Cellspace. Then they say there are more of these. It was a circus, a true circus romp, with a woman who shot an arrow with her legs inverted, yes the amazing marching band, the two or three rhyming mc’s/ Yes they got the show in. Bless it all. I arrived with Phil we had ice on our back and flyers in pockets for Robin’s April 11 Green Festival After Party. There was spaee to dance, and this body creaked. These old bones speak’ed the trippy swing, and flow chi moving movement I do. Lots of them good dancers, lots of facepaint, and pretty people….souls in the bodies come out! And there was Jonathan the 41 year old brother who stopped aging at 28 by playing. We played his Sustainable Living Road Show back on the big ol’ painted up biodiesel vehicle of madman dream tale. Its a beginning and the ending of an excellent day, of sun, of wondering, of following glimers of hope into firecraking connection. The love in my heart is more than this. To be with this love is my mission today. Bless.

Street Asylum: Busking Shakespeare & fool truth @ omshan TeaMarch 25th, 2010

“Name Any Shakespeare play and I’ll do a speech from it…”

That’s my line. And if you crossed my path these days usually on Fisherman’s Warf, and had have even the chance of openness in your eyes then you’ve heard it. Chances are you said something like “Midsummer Nights Dream or…” and chances are I took a moment to lay these gorgeous poetic verses at our feet. Got a chance to play and stare into the collective imagination of madman poetic wonder. Yes these be the days were a street poet am i and dollars are what i am trying to sway from passers-by. a busker what can I say? Its vulnerability, its work, its beautiful, its life. The sun has poured down on the Warf and its been opulent, even grabbed a free ice cream yesterday.

Later I went to a more planned performance and did ‘The Fool Truth’ at om-shan tea. This was amazing. The people were so inclusive and no bs, no politics, no trying to be anything, just good vibes, good tea, and sharing. Ariel n me ended up getting a ride home from Nick, who does the Free Folk Festival in June here in SF. Such a sweet guy! Please if you dig the Yoga, tea, and ornate but down to earth establishments, check out Om-Shan Tea its at 233 14th st, near Rainbow Grocery. Oh and my little play went good, I think a couple people had truly transformative experiences. And a kid was there which helped.

Jaguar Priests is on-lineMarch 14th, 2010

It happen in 2004, Jaguar Priests, a hip hop theatre myth was created. It took the skills of at least fifty artists, making beats, writting words, creating combat….all kinds of amazing folk. To date this, in many ways, is the best piece of theatre I have created. It was a beautiful, dedicated cast. The passion of the actors comes thru in these clips. DOn’t know where many of them are…Lumenz? Darna? Savada? So many blessings to all who made this possible.

This play is a great way to learn about mythology, and the rise civilization. Its a fun way to get a new perspective on culture. Maybe you know a high school, college or theatre that would be interested in performing it?

let a brother know…see@blessitup.com

These are the Waking Days, SF timeless spring popFebruary 23rd, 2010

Bless this. Day one, post one…on the trail of art truth, creative cultivation.

In the REAL:

Last night we hung with Phil, who is a madman office manager, who slings bags of ice on his back and thus gets into events FREE. We walked Haight to find Ameoba Music, where I got a 3 dollar x-box basketball video game. Ariel n I went to the Tenderloin on the 71 bus, the girl hullahooped for the street dudes, and made a dollah. We talked of alienation, wanting to connect, and not. Up in the 9×9 room of our existence we ate greens and a half old avocado. I left late, took the bus, my new game and my laptop to Adal’s apt. We smoked on the roof and played the game, I dunked ridiculously and generally rock at this new game. I am reminded of my rituals with Travis, who can play some Madden, what?! Slept on the carpet, woke, oatmeal..rain rain, cold and no umbrella. But i buy the lavender plant from plant world and its for Ariel in our little box room, soon we are here in Revolution Cafe and the old man plays piano, the Ubafu shakes hands for a blessing. Smoking herb on the doorstep and Plato read beside. Yes.

In the Reflection:

The past kiss of radiance chanced me here.

  • by way of yes
  • by way of we can do this
  • by way of open acceptance
  • risk taking change
  • growing into things poetry
  • stretching into the real of hip hop
  • the real of mountain living
  • the real of love of her, and her

Now blest by inner gaze abundance.

The street is wet and, peeps is cold, but the shine is bold in faces molded SF.

Here is open, you walk on the street and the culture says hello, the people want to see if you are here.

Loosen thy tongues SF, the city is…the country needs…the state demands you speak.

I will not refuse the call, it is cultivating.

My love encircles me in her arms, we are deeper in, we are spinning, she is the divine woman bringing oneness, this love is sleep and dreams, and when we wake it will still be love. Loud Love.
